Cervical Cancer Screening Study Seeks Volunteers

04/03/2018

Research participants are needed for a research study on cervical cancer screening among female international students in the United States.

Two graduate students in the College for Public Health and Social Justice are conducting the study under the supervision of Enbal Shacham, Ph.D.

The purpose of the study is to understand factors that influence uptake of cervical cancer screening among female international students in the U.S.

Participation in the study will involve completing an online Qualtrics survey.

The questions include some demographic characteristics, knowledge regarding cervical cancer, perceived risk of cervical cancer, perceived severity of cervical cancer, knowledge of cancer screening, perceived benefit of cervical cancer screening and perceived barriers to cervical cancer screening.

The online survey is expected to take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Participants Qualifications

Participation in this study is voluntary. Participants have the option to choose not to participate or to withdraw at any point during the study without any consequences or loss of any benefits to which they are otherwise entitled.

Before beginning the online survey, participants will be asked to provide an online consent and following completion of the survey they will have the option to submit their email in a separate Qualtrics form to be entered in a drawing to win one $20 Amazon gift card.

The draw will be randomized, and one winner will be contacted through the email that they provided upon completing the survey.
