'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes' Comes to Campus

04/24/2018

Beta Theta Pi is hosting “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes,” an awareness event, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, on SLU’s campus. The event raises awareness about domestic violence and will feature a speaker from the Women’s Safe House of St. Louis.

Participants will be able to walk in high heels with Beta members and people from across the SLU and St. Louis community to raise awareness for this cause.

There will also be presentation from other SLU groups including the Breaking Out Campaign, as well as free cookies from Pickleman’s and free tea and lemonade from Raising Canes.

Participating in the Walk costs $5, with the opportunity to have high heels provided for $3 more.

For those who are unable to attend the event, raffle tickets are on-sale for $2 and all proceeds benefit the Women’s Safe House. The raffle’s grand prize is free food and swag from Raising Canes.

Sign up for the walk or purchase raffle tickets here.
