Global Gateway Program Holding Info Session

02/15/2018

The Center for Global Citizenship (CGC) will host an information for students interested in taking part in its Global Gateway Program this spring. The information session will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, in the Seminar Room 124, Center for Global Citizenship.

The Global Gateway Program is a supplemental enrichment program that accommodates undergraduate students from all fields of study who want to deepen their understanding of global issues and enhance their intercultural skills and engagement.

The program consists of academic, co-curricular and service experiences. Students have the opportunity to choose from among a number of options in designing their own “Global Gateway” to fulfill program requirements. Key concepts include global awareness, intercultural competence, and service to humanity.

The program requirements are completed at the student’s pace. They include: participation in an introductory workshop, five co-curricular reflection papers, five academic artifacts, 40 hours of service learning and a culminating capstone project. The program allows students to rely upon and engage more intentionally with existing coursework, programs and activities.  Students who complete the program will graduate with a Global Gateway Program designation on their transcript.
