ITS Sends out Patches for February, Plans Network Work

Information Technology Services (ITS) will send out new security patches on Monday, Feb. 26. The division also plans network changes for the southern portion of SLU’s campus, with work to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The patches will install automatically at 4 a.m. on Friday, March 2. The patches are for Microsoft Windows and instructions for those who wish to install the patches early are available on the ITS webpage.

Updates do not apply until the computer is rebooted, so users should restart their computer following the installation on Friday, March 2.

The planned network updates are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 27. The work performed will result in higher reliability and better security for public internet access on the southern portion of SLU’s campus. 

ITS does not anticipate any impacts during this change. However, there is a possibility that public internet traffic on the impacted area of campus could experience interruptions from 11:59 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.
