Social Justice Conference Calls for Presentations

02/08/2018

Students can present their research and promote change at Saint Louis University’s annual Global and Local Social Justice Student Conference. The 2018 conference will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, from 1 to 5:30 p.m.

Abstracts are due by Wednesday, Feb. 14. Students from Saint Louis University and other area universities may submit proposals.

The conference, first held in 2010, is co-sponsored by the Center for Global Citizenship and includes presentations from undergraduate and graduate students.

Presentations include research and internship projects on global and local social justice issues. SLU student social justice organizations are also welcome to attend the conference or to present.

In previous years, students have presented on a variety of topics including global hunger, water rights, globalization and clinical drug trials.

The conference is free and open to the public.
