Spring Career Fair Set

02/16/2018

Career Services will hold the 2018 Spring Career and Graduate School Fair from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, in the Wool Ballroom, Busch Student Center. All Saint Louis University students and alumni are invited to attend to network and make connections with the more than 140 recruiting organizations.

The Spring Career and Graduate School Fair is intended to be a place to develop relationships with future employers, discuss potential internships, demonstrate a job seeker’s communication skills, talk to graduate school recruiters and to potentially decide a career path. The organizations on hand will seek to talk with possible job recruits from freshman to alumni.

All students are encouraged to have their resume on hand to enhance their networking experience. Students who want help to prepare for the fair can attend Rezumania, Career Fair Prep Workshops or schedule a resume critique with Career Services. Details for those events are available on the Career Services webpage or through the University calendar for specific event details.

Those searching for jobs should wear professional attire, while business casual is recommended for students making connections. All students should bring multiple copies of their resumes. Book bags and coats should be checked at the front desk in Busch Student Center during the event. The front desk is located on the second floor next to the SLU Bookstore. Checkable items including book bags are not permitted inside the fair.

The Career Fair Plus app is helpful for fair preparation and day-of information like attending organizations, floor plan and event details. This full-featured iPhone, iPad, and Android app puts the power to prepare for the school fair in students’ hands. Career Fair Plus is available for free at the App Store and Google Play Store depending on the users’ device, and also accessible with an online version.

Drury Hotels, Edward Jones Investments, Mesa Airlines Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Twain Financial Partners LLC, University of Illinois Springfield and US Bank are sponsoring the fair.
