SLU 200: Bicentennial 5K Release April Run's Course

Runners and walkers celebrating Saint Louis University’s 200th anniversary will circle the northern half of SLU’s Midtown campus this April as part of the Bicentennial 5K Run and Family Fun Walk.

The event is set for Sunday, April 15, with runners beginning the race at 8 a.m. and walkers start 10 minutes later.

The event is sponsored by the University’s Staff Advisory Committee (SAC). The event honors SLU’s 200th anniversary and proceeds will benefit the Helping Our Own Fund.

The race and walk will begin at Chaifetz Arena and will loop through and around SLU’s Midtown campus along Laclede Avenue, to Vandeventer Avenue, along Lindell Boulevard and for a final length down Compton Avenue.

The race’s highlights include free parking in the Olive/Compton Garage and free participant raffle prizes. Registrants will receive a t-shirt and those participating will receive a special bicentennial medal. SLU participants can also receive 250 Vitality points for taking part in the race.

Early Bird Registration runs until March 24, 2018, and costs $25. Early registration guarantees receiving an event t-shirt.

Regular registration runs from March 25, 2018 through April 14, 2018. The regular registration fee is $30. Race-day sign-up is $35. Registration is available here.
