Humanities Writing Group Seeks Faculty Participants

01/05/2018

The Faculty Writing Fellows Program seeks four to six participants for an interdisciplinary Writing Group in the Humanities. The group will focus on book and article writing within the disciplines of history, English, theology, philosophy, modern and classical languages and American Studies.

While open to faculty of any rank, the program will give priority to assistant and associate professors who are looking to complete monographs to meet the standards for tenure and promotion. Participants will work not only to refine prose and ideas but to overcome stumbling blocks common to many large projects such as procrastination and writer’s block.

The group will meet bi-weekly for the academic year beginning in late January 2018.

Those interested in joining the group should send a brief description of your current writing project and reasons for his or her interest to Mark Edward Ruff, Ph.D., Department of History.
