Senior Legacy Symposium Reservation Forms Due Next Month

01/25/2018

The Senior Legacy Symposium is an annual event that provides a venue for exceptional graduating students to present academic work and research at the culmination of their undergraduate careers. This year’s event will take place Wednesday, April 18, in the Busch Student Center.

In December, a Departmental Reservation Form was sent out via email to department heads and other contacts throughout the university. Using this form, departments can reserve up to three spots each for students from their department to present their work at the symposium.

Departments should indicate whether their students will showcase a poster presentation, an oral presentation or a creative piece, to allow Academic Affairs to begin making preparations for the event. All responses to the Departmental Reservation Form must be submitted by Monday, Feb. 12.

Subsequently, each department will receive an additional form in which they will select which students from their department will be presenting at the symposium. This form should be completed by Friday, March 2.

All student participants in the Senior Legacy Symposium have exemplified outstanding academic achievements and will receive a medallion that can be worn at graduation to acknowledge their contributions to this annual event. The symposium encourages all academic departments take this opportunity to recognize outstanding work created by their graduating students.
