Fresh Gatherings Launches July Menu

Fresh Gathering Café’s July menu is now up and running. The menu was designed by Chef Dan Brewer and a team of nutrition and dietetics students with the goal to create dishes reflecting the abundant seasonal produce harvested from SLU’s Urban Garden and other local farms.

The team was inspired by corn, tomatoes, avocados, and squash that is currently in season to take the menu in a Mexican direction.

This menu will be running until Friday, Aug. 3.

Fresh Gatherings is located in lower level of the Allied Health Professions Building. The café’ is accessible by the Grand Shuttle Service. The café is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Menu

• Tacos - $3 - served on fresh homemade tortillas prepared daily
• Chips and salsa - $3
• Street corn salad - $4
• Chips and guacamole - $5
• Soup - $3.50 or $5

Three or more tacos will be offered daily on a rotating schedule. Fresh Gatherings is running pork carnitas, beet chorizo and tofu fritter for the week of July 16.

Fresh Gatherings also serves breakfast burritos, breakfast tacos or breakfast sandwiches on a rotating basis starting at 8 a.m.
