Time to File 2019-20 FAFSA

Have you filed your 19-20 FAFSA?

To be given priority consideration for all financial aid, file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The preferred deadline is prior to Feb. 1, 2019.

• Saint Louis University’s FAFSA school code is 002506.

• Make sure to sign your application. Parent and student signatures are required for your FAFSA (for dependent students).

• As of May 2015, the FSA ID replaced the Federal Student Aid (FSA) PIN and is used to log in to various U.S. Department of Education web sites. Click to create a FSA ID. FAFSAs filed without signatures are invalid and are not considered for aid until the FAFSA is valid.

• Transfer your tax information – the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT). This will both automatically draw the appropriate tax information into the FAFSA populating the fields with the correct corresponding data and cut down on potential corrections, verifications, and award adjustments.

• FAFSA is based on prior-prior year tax information, therefore the 19-20 FAFSA will be based in 2017 tax information. There is no need to log back in to make corrections in the future.

• New! You can complete the 2019–20 FAFSA form using the myStudentAid app. Download the myStudentAid app in the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Note: If you downloaded the app prior to Oct. 1, you must download an update to access the 2019–20 FAFSA form.

• Stop by, email sfs@slu.edu or call 314-977-2350 the office of student financial services if you have any questions. You may also get information on applying for aid on our website
