Save the Date: Happy Birthday to SLU with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Nov 15

Saint Louis University students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the community are invited to attend “Happy Birthday to SLU,” a celebration marking the finale of SLU’s bicentennial.

The special event, which will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, at Chaifetz Arena, will feature the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra telling SLU’s history through popular and classical favorites. Family-friendly activities start at 6 p.m. on the Chaifetz Arena concourse. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

The concert also will include a performance by the University’s Mastersingers.

In addition, the evening will culminate with the debut of Ite, inflammate Omnia (“Go Forth and Set the World on Fire”) by SLU’s own Aaron Johnson, D.M.A., bicentennial composer in residence and assistant professor of music.

Admission is complimentary. Reservations are required.

Attendees should make their online reservations by Monday, Nov. 11.
