University Partnering with Wyman Center, Normandy Schools for Campus Visit

The SLU Center for Service and Community Engagement is partnering with the Wyman Center and the Normandy School District for a campus visit on Thursday, Nov. 1.

The partnership is a new initiative aimed at exposing eighth grade students in the North County district to life on a college campus with the long-term goal of fostering their interest in higher education.

The group will take a campus tour, enjoy the Grand Hall dining experience, and engage in a service project alongside SLU students by making blankets in the Busch Student Center for hospice patients.

This is the first visit under the new partnership and organizers hope that the visit becomes an annual event.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to welcome the students to campus.
