Women's Commission Seeks Nominations for 'Leaders in the Workplace'

The SLU community can nominate outstanding women leaders for a YWCA award.

Since 1984, the YWCA has recognized the commitment and contributions of working women from the St. Louis area at an event called “Leaders in the Workplace.” Saint Louis University recognizes its own women of achievement by participating in this event.

This year’s lunch will be held Thursday, Dec. 6.

SLU will participate in the program by selecting eight women across the University from faculty and staff nominations. The awards acknowledge how these women have contributed to the growth and enrichment of both the University and the greater metropolitan community.

Members of the SLU community who would like to nominate an employee should compose a nomination and include the following information about their nominee:

Bullet points are acceptable.

The nominee should be someone who has been employed at the University at least three years.

The SLU Leaders in the Workplace honorees will be recognized by the Women’s Commission newsletter and across other University communications channels.

Completed nominations should be submitted to Kellisa Lyn Fiala, Women’s Commission president and co-awards chair, no later than Monday, No. 12.

Nominations may be submitted electronically.
