Information Security Training Module Required

Information Technology Services’s Security and Compliance unit will continue the University’s Information Security Awareness Training program through a new module, “Password Management,” that becomes available for completion on Monday, April 8.

On April 8, employees will find the new Security Awareness Training compliance requirement listed on the Home tab in MySLU. A link will direct users to a 10-minute module in SkillSoft, “Password Management.” The module does not allow users to test out of the training.  Completion of the training is required by Tuesday, May 7, 2019.

The program’s objective is to reduce risk to the University by educating the community on how to protect the University's data, network and other IT resources. Additional information and answers to some commonly asked questions about the training are available on the IT Security Training page, under Information Security.
