Learn the Latest Info on Alzheimer’s at Free Event

Saint Louis University and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America are presenting a free seminar about Alzheimer’s disease and memory issues in older adults that is open to the public. The event is from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at Busch Student Center.

"This will be a great chance to get up-to-date on the latest knowledge about Alzheimer's disease and approaches to treatment," said John Morley, M.D., adjunct professor of geriatrics at SLU.

The session includes a memory screening, talk on causes and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, tips for caregivers and a panel discussion that offers strategies for creating a team of professionals to provide wrap-around care for someone who has Alzheimer’s. A geriatrician, social worker and occupational therapist are among the health care professionals who will present.

The event is supported by Memory Care Home Solutions and Saint Louis University.

Although the event is free, registration is required and available online
