Participants Sought for Humanities Writing Group

08/27/2019

The Faculty Writing Fellows Program is looking for four to six participants for an interdisciplinary Writing Group in the Humanities.

The group’s focus will be on book and article writing within the disciplines of history, English, theology, philosophy, modern and classical languages and American Studies. While open to faculty of any rank, the program will give priority to assistant and associate professors who are looking to complete monographs to meet the standards for tenure and promotion.

The group will meet bi-weekly beginning in September 2019.  Participants will work not only to refine prose and ideas but to overcome stumbling blocks common to many large projects such as procrastination and writer’s block.

Those interested should send a brief description of their current writing project and reasons for their interest in joining the group to Mark Edward Ruff, Ph.D., Department of History.
