Updates Coming to SLUCare IDX System

12/03/2019

Information Technology Services (ITS) will make significant improvements to the SLUCare revenue cycle technology system, IDX, on Friday, Dec. 6.  The improvements involve a transition of the service from aging equipment in SLU's data center to a hosting service provided by the product manufacturer, Athena Health.

IDX handles all fee-for-service financial transactions as well as all SLUCare scheduling activities.

Users of the system should notice better performance of the system and improved reliability. Through negotiation with the University’s partners, the transition will enable a more sustainable model for management of the product without increasing cost to SLUCare.

The work period is set to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, and to continue through 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8. During the work period, ITS, SLUCare and SLU’s partners will implement the changes needed to move the platform to Athena Health.  During this time, IDX will not be available.
