Health Care Ethics Conference Seeks Abstracts

The Sixth Annual Health Care Ethics Research Conference, hosted by SLU's Gnaegi Center for Health Care Ethics, will be held Friday, March 22, and will examine any health care ethics issues. The conference is now accepting proposals for papers and research presentations.

The conference’s highlight Drummond Lecture will take place from noon to 1 p.m. The conference will run from 1:30 to 6 p.m. and will be held in the Pitlyk Auditorium, Learning Resources Center.

Students are encouraged to submit research projects and papers completed as part of a health care ethics or related discipline’s course requirement, as well as independent research projects. The conference will accept abstract submissions from students in any area of work related to bioethics, health care ethics or medical humanities, including students from other SLU departments and other local universities.

Submission Categories

The first and second place winner in each of the three categories will receive a cash prize. In addition, the winners of the Undergraduate-Senior category will present the Center for Health Care Ethics in the Senior Legacy Symposium. 

Abstracts for the conference are due Thursday, Feb. 21, and may be submitted here.
