The Office of Mission and Identity invites all members of the SLU community to celebrate the Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola on Wednesday, July 31.

SLU’s celebration of the day honoring the founder of the Society of Jesus will begin at noon with Mass in St. Francis Xavier College Church. David Suwalsky, S.J., will preside.

Immediately after mass, the campus community will gather in the College Church Ballroom for fellowship and lunch.

St. Ignatius of Loyola was the spiritual master who founded the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in the 16th Century. His spiritual vision has inspired the Jesuits to found a worldwide network of educational institutions and other ministries. Information about Ignatian spirituality and SLU's Jesuit heritage will be available to all those who attend Wednesday’s celebration.
