New Windows Patches Available July 24

Windows patches will be available to all University workstations beginning Wednesday, July 24, at 7 a.m. The patches will install automatically without any intervention or pop-up notifications to the user.

In the event that the installation requires closing of specific applications such as Word, users will be prompted to close the application before proceeding.

Users will receive a pop-up message once all the patches are installed, requesting that they restart.

Users should reboot their computers after receiving the message in order to ensure the patches are applied successfully.

Once the patches are installed, users check to ensure that their computers are operating correctly. If the patches fail to install or for other questions or concerns, contact Cid Cardoz.
