Security Awareness Training Module Going Live

Information Technology (IT) Security and Compliance will continue the Information Security Awareness Training program with a new module that will be available to the SLU community beginning Monday, June 24.

On June 24, employees will find a new Security Awareness Training video link listed on the Home tab in MySLU. It will direct users to a seven-minute module in SkillSoft, “An Introduction to Insider Threats.”

The module does not allow users to test out of the training due to the amount of material covered. 

With the increase of risk to confidential information, users are highly encouraged to complete this training by Friday, July 26.

The training no longer requires video viewing confirmation and users should view the video until they are directed to exit by clicking the “X” in the upper right corner of the screen.

The Information Security Awareness Training program’s goal is to reduce risk to the University by educating the community on how to protect the University's data, network and other IT resources.
