New Databases Available Through Libraries

03/28/2019

The SLU community will have access to new resources through the University Libraries.

Beginning this year, the University will be the only academic institution in the state to offer access to the complete collected papers of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) through a newly-purchased database. The purchase was made possible by a gift according to Martha Allen, professor and subject librarian for the African American Studies Program.

SLU researchers can also access two databases, In Principio and Index Religiosus. In Principio is a database of Latin incipits, the initial words of Latin texts that are used to identify manuscripts containing that text. Index Religiosus contains European and other theological journal literatures. These databases are unique to SLU at present.
