Plane Groundings Impact University Travel

TravelPlex is currently attempting to identify anyone traveling on behalf of Saint Louis University who might be impacted by flight cancellations due the recent federal order to ground all Boeing 737 Max-8 and 737 Max-9 aircraft. 

These planes will be out of service until further notice due to a series of recent crashes worldwide. President Donald Trump and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ordered the planes gounded earlier this week.

Southwest Airlines has 36 of these aircraft in their fleet, while American Airlines has 24 in their fleet.

TravelPlex is currently identifying other options for those impacted by the groundings. Each impacted traveler will be notified of any change and the options available to them.
