University to Host Cannonball Staff Appreciation Picnic

Cannonball Picnic, the University’s annual staff appreciation event, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 22, and attendees who register by Wednesday, Oct. 16, will receive a free lunch and have the chance to win prizes.

The picnic will be held on the Quad by DuBourg Hall. In case of rain, the picnic will be held in the Wool Ballroom, Busch Student Center.

As part of the event’s casual atmosphere, staff members are encouraged to dress down if their work environment and schedule permit.

Shuttle services will be provided between both ends of campus and from Scott Hall from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Reciprocal parking will be available in the Laclede and Olive/Compton Garages.

In order to be eligible for a chance to win, attendees must RSVP by Wednesday, Oct. 16. Registering by Oct. 16 also ensures an accurate food count.

The annual picnic recognizes the contributions SLU staff members makes to University life. The picnic draws its name from the battlefield injury St. Ignatius Loyola suffered in 1521.
