International Education Week Set for November

The Cross Cultural Center and Atlas Program invite members of the SLU community to participate in 2019 International Education Week events this November.

International Education Week is a week-long initiative that promotes awareness on international and global affairs while furthering international cultural understanding, and is one of the initiatives, like Atlas Week and its Parade of Nations seen here, that advances connections across borders and SLU's global impact. International Education Week is a week-long initiative that promotes awareness on international and global affairs while furthering international cultural understanding. This year, International Education Week will be held from Monday, Nov. 18, through Friday, Nov. 22.

Week’s Current Highlights

'The Intouchable'

Monday,  Nov. 18, 6:30 p.m., Center for Global Citizenship auditorium.

Opus Panel Discussion

Tuesday, Nov. 19, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Cook Hall Auditorium

International Game Night

Tuesday, Nov. 19, 6 to 8 p.m., Room 124, Center for Global Citizenship.

World Trivia

Wednesday, Nov. 20,  6 to 7:30 p.m., Billiken Club and Grill, Busch Student Center.

World Poetry Reading and Open Mic Night

Thursday, Nov. 21, 6 to 7:30 p.m., location to be announced.

This event is a night of poetry, spoken word and song all recited in languages from around the world. Those interested in performing should sign up here by Friday, Nov.  8.

International Gala

Friday, Nov. 22, Center for Global Citizenship, 6:30 to 9 p.m. The Gala will also include a Talent Show. 

International Bazaar and Gallery

Friday, Nov. 22, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Center for Global Citizenship Auditorium.

This event is an exhibition of clothing, artifacts and photography from around the globe. Those interested in showcasing items should contact Luella Loseille.

An Atlas Program General Interest Meeting will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20,  from 4 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 124, Center for Global Citizenship.
