Call for Nominations: University Core Associate Directors

04/01/2020

The nomination window is now open for those interested in becoming one of seven associate directors of the University's newly-approved Undergraduate Core (UCC).

The University Core was approved Friday, March 20, by the faculty councils and assemblies of all SLU colleges and schools that deliver undergraduate programs.

The Core was then adopted on Tuesday, March 31, by both the SLU Council of Deans and Directors and Interim Provost Chester "Chet" Gillis, Ph.D.

The University Core includes seven (7) associate director positions (see Core Proposal, pages 44-46). The University Undergraduate Core Curriculum Committee (UUCC)  now invites self-nominations for these seven positions; candidates from all colleges and schools are welcome to apply.

Descriptions of the positions are available here

The deadline for self-nomination is Friday, May 1.

Appointments will be made by Monday, June 1.

Associate directors will begin their tenures on Wednesday, July 1,  and will earn a full summer stipend of $5000 for work in July and/or August.

If you have any questions about this process, or any of the seven position descriptions,  contact Ellen Crowell, Ph.D., director of the University Core.
