Writing Services Offers Free Productivity Sessions

As final exams approach, University Writing Services (UWS) is offering free “Productivity Sessions” to assist students with writing accountability and/or productivity while working remotely or in isolation.

Two weekly group Zoom meetings will be offered at the following times:

• Wednesdays, 6 to 8 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST): Meeting ID 960-3489-7647
• Fridays, 2 to 4 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST): Meeting ID 943-8284-0924

Students do not need to RSVP.

Those who wish to participate can join the Zoom meetings on the scheduled day/times.

Sessions will be available until Friday, May 8.

During these sessions, a UWS consultant will facilitate writing time using the Pomodoro Method, and writers are welcome to drop in and out as needed.

Sessions will not include content delivery or writing instruction, but participants will be able to ask an experienced consultant general questions about writing problems or concerns using the chat function.

If students are in need of more specific writing advice or one-on-one guidance, appointments are available with UWS using EAB Navigate (located under the Tools tab of MySLU).
