Microsoft Edge Upgrade Coming September 2

A Microsoft Edge upgrade will be deployed on all SLU Managed workstations on Wednesday, Sept. 2, starting at 4 p.m. CDT. The upgrade will install automatically without any intervention or pop-up notifications to users.

In the event that the installation requires closing of specific applications, such as Word, users will be prompted to close the application before proceeding.

The icon for Microsoft Edge will change.

Microsoft Edge favorites may not transfer over to the new upgrade. However, users may import their favorites by following the instructions below:

1. Open Microsoft Edge
2. Click on the three dots on the top left
3. Click on Favorites
4. Click on Manage favorites
5. Click on the three dots
6. Click on import favorites
7. Select the appropriate options and press Import
