'Cura Personalis' Talks Series Launches

In the spirit of caring for the needs of the SLU community beyond the workplace, the Office of Mission and Identity is hosting a new talk series, “Cura Personalis,” centered on topics relating to our lives off-campus.

Each talk will be followed by opportunities for conversation and questions/answer time.

Series Schedule and Topics

“Grief and Loss”
  • Presented by Christopher Collins, S.J., and Virginia Herbers, ASCJ, of the Office of Mission and Identity
  • Talks will be held Wednesday, Feb. 19, at noon in Jesuit Hall and on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 3:30 p.m. at Crave Coffee House.
“Caring for Aging Parents”
  • Presented by Gerrie Meyer, Ph.D., RN, and Peggy McAuliffe, RN, of the School of Nursing.
  • Talks will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 25, at Jesuit Hall and at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at Crave Coffee House.
“Talking to Children about the Faith”
  • Presented by Ronny O'Dwyer, S.J., of the Billiken Teacher Corps.
  • Talks will be held Tuesday, April 21, at noon in Jesuit Hall and at 3:30 p.m. on the same day at Crave Coffee House.
