Applications Open for Grow-Your-Own Garden Plots
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is taking applications for the SLU Gardens to Tables Garden Plots.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), gardening actually burns about 330 calories per hour – the same amount as dancing and other strenuous activities.
This year, the department is offering SLU community members the opportunity to burn calories and to grow their own healthy, tasty produce by adopting a garden plot in the Gardens to Tables garden on south campus.

Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 28, to be entered to receive a plot.
Those who have had a plot in the past and would like to keep the same bed, should include that information in the application.
