Health Care Ethics Conference Accepting Papers

01/21/2020

The Seventh Annual Health Care Ethics Research Conference, hosted by the Albert Gnaegi Center for Health Care Ethics, is accepting student papers and research projects. The conference will examine an array of health care ethics issues.

The conference will be held Friday, March 27, in the Pitlyk Auditorium, Learning Resources Center, from 1:30 to 6 p.m. The annual Drummond lecture will take place at noon in the same location, as the conference’s opening event.

Cash prizes will be awarded in three categories, and the winners of the Undergraduate-Senior category will be invited to represent the Department of Health Care Ethics as this year’s Senior Legacy Symposium later this spring. The first and second place winner in each of the three categories will receive a cash prize.

Students are encouraged to submit research projects and papers completed as part of a health care ethics or related discipline’s course requirement, as well as independent research projects.

The conference will accept abstract submissions from students in any area of work related to bioethics, health care ethics or medical humanities, including students from other SLU departments and other local universities.
