New Vaccine Science, Policy Partnership Hosting Kick off Meeting

03/06/2020

Two SLU researchers are building a cross-collaborative vaccine science and policy team, and the SLU community is invited to get involved.

With support from a SLU Spark Microgrant, Ana Santos Rutschman, S.J.D., assistant professor of law, and Timothy L. Wiemken, Ph.D., associate professor in the SLU Center for Outcomes Research (SLUCOR), will begin development of the Vaccine Science and Policy Partnership.

The partnership will build on the strengths across SLU in the areas of vaccine development, clinical and translational research, and health policy, with a goal to foster novel collaborative work across all colleges and schools at SLU.

The partnership will kick off with a meeting at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, March 30, in Scott Hall’s 12th floor pavilion. The meeting ends at 3:30 p.m. Food and drinks will be provided.

Those with research or policy interest in vaccines should RSVP to Cheryl Cooper, coordinator of the Center for Health Law Studies, by Sunday, March 15.

The SLU Spark Microgrant program sponsored by the Saint Louis University Research Institute provides small grants to help stimulate ambitious ideas and help faculty find collaborators across the University. Learn more here.
