Writing Services Offers Virtual Retreat for Graduate Students

05/27/2020

Want to make actual progress towards the completion of your seminar paper, thesis, dissertation, or publication? Come and write in a quiet, structured environment alongside other scholars!

University Writing Services is offering a free virtual writing retreat for all graduate students on Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18, followed immediately by a half-day productivity session on Friday, June 19, via Zoom.

Both the two-day retreat and the half-day productivity session aim to increase graduate students' writing accountability while working remotely or in isolation. The primary difference is that the retreat will provide content delivery.

The productivity session does not include any type of formal instruction, but participants will be able to ask the facilitator general questions about writing using the chat function on Zoom.

Retreat-goers are encouraged to RSVP early because the first 20 registrants will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment and receive 1-on-1 feedback from an experienced writing consultant during the retreat and productivity session on their current project.
