Office of Mission and Identity Offering Fall Mission Book Club
The Office of Mission and Identity will be offering a Mission Book Club this fall. The book, “A Purposeful Path,” by Casey Beaumier, S.J., is the story of the pilgrimage that was part of Fr. Beaumier’s Jesuit formation.

Fr. Beaumier shares his story of having a dream in his heart, courage to request a different sort of pilgrimage, and the way forward through uncertainty, challenges and grace. From the book description:
“Fr. Beaumier’s pilgrimage is unique because its end is a person, Maya Angelou, not simply a holy place, but a holy voice. Tag along as Beaumier finds himself cold, hungry, and tired along the Appalachian Trail, reliant only on the kindness of strangers and his faith to make it through in one piece.
Laugh, cry, and cringe with Beaumier as he nervously makes his way through the once-in-a-lifetime
holiday dinner with a literary legend. See through his eyes as he navigates the streets
and culture of New York City, and beyond. Through it all, Beaumier discovers that
the best way through life's hard battles is to trust God and keep on moving.”
The book club is open to students, faculty and staff. Registration is due by Sept.
18.
Books will be mailed, or for students delivered to Campus Ministry. Small groups will meet virtually once (or more if group decides) before Fr. Beaumier joins the club for a zoom interview on Oct. 22.
