Windows Patches Coming Out

Windows patches will be available to all workstations beginning Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 5 p.m. The patches will install automatically without any intervention or pop-up notifications to the user.

In the event that the installation requires closing of specific applications, such as Word, users will be prompted to close the application before proceeding.

Users will receive a popup message once all the patches are installed, requesting that they to restart. This restart is important, and users should reboot their machines after receiving the pop-up message in order to ensure the patches are applied successfully.

Once patches are installed, users should check operating functionality on their machines.
