Computer Chip Shortage Leads to Long Delivery Times

In the past few months, computer chips for computers and other technology, have become increasingly in short supply. As a result, orders for desktop computers and laptop computers have been experiencing longer lead times.

Those lead times in some cases have extended beyond 30 days. The University is asking any department with plans to purchase computers that will be charged to FY21, to place those orders as soon as possible to allow for these longer lead times.
