Current Student Application Window for MLK Jr. Scholarship Opens Monday, April 19

The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Program is seeking applicants. Applications will be open Monday, April 19. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 30.

To be eligible, current students must be a freshman, sophomore or junior and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing. Students also need a minimum of 24 credit hours by end of spring 2021 semester.

The King Scholars Program is a competitive scholarship program with an award granted to undergraduate students committed to social justice, academic success, service, leadership, and cultural awareness experiences. Each of these characteristics equips programmatic scholarship recipients to develop their potential as agents of positive social change.

The King Scholars Program has an award value of at least $3,000 per year (in addition to any previously awarded SLU scholarship(s) and keeping within SLU scholarship policies) and is applied to undergraduate tuition charges only. This award in combination with other SLU merit and SLU Grant awards cannot exceed full tuition charges.
