Volunteers Needed to Pack Meals for 9-11 Day of Service

08/31/2021

Chaifetz Arena is hosting a 9-11 Day service event where volunteers come together to meal-pack at least 200,000 healthy, non-perishable meals. To help address the growing food crisis, all the meals will be donated to and distributed by the St. Louis Area Food Bank to individuals and families who are food insecure.

Volunteers are needed to help meal-pack. Anyone interested in volunteer can sign up

9/11 Day is a nonprofit that founded and annually organizes the federally-recognized September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance (“9/11 Day”).

The group's mission for the 20th anniversary of 9/11 is to inspire millions of Americans and others to rekindle the remarkable spirit of unity and compassion that arose in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, and to perform good deeds and other acts of service in tribute to those killed and injured, rescue and recovery personnel, and those who rose in service in response to the attacks.
