Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX Releases Required Learning Module for Faculty, Staff

01/22/2021

On Thursday, January 21, 2021, all Faculty and Staff at Saint Louis University were notified of a required online module administered in partnership with higher education software provider Everfi.

The email message was sent through the platform provided by Everfi, and not from a SLU email address. Please know that this message was legitimate, and the module is accessed by using the button provided in that message. Future reminder messages about this module will also come from the Everfi system, and are legitimate messages.

The module Preventing Harassment and Discrimination for Non-Supervisors with Title IX and Clery is designed to inform faculty and staff on matters related to reports of sexual harassment (including sexual assault, stalking, and dating/domestic violence), harassment, and discrimination based on federally protected classes. The course will also highlight bystander intervention, reporting requirements, and other important topics.

This online module will help you understand your rights, responsibilities and available options and resources for reporting and addressing harassment and discrimination, including how and to whom you can report an incident. Even if you are a supervisor, you are required to take this module.

Please note: even if you have previously completed Haven for employees or other online modules in the past, you are still required to complete this training. All faculty and staff are required to complete the module, and must do so by March 31, 2021.

If you have already permanently deleted the initial message from the Everfi system, you will receive a reminder message within the next two weeks which will provide access to the module system. However, if you permanently deleted the message and would like to access the module now, please email Kim Sahr at kim.sahr@slu.edu and the link will be resent to you. When you enter the Everfi system, you will be prompted to set up a user name and password. Please use your SLU email address for your user name. Because your password is not automatically synced from the SLU system, your password can be a password of your own choosing.
