On-Campus and Remote Grief Counseling Resources Available to University Community

To help members of the SLU community process the recent loss of Jonathan Smith, Ph.D., and last week’s tragic officer-involved shooting, Human Resources has arranged for an on-site grief counselor to be available this week for faculty and staff who may wish to speak with someone in person. No appointments are required.

The on-site counselor will be available Monday, June 28, through Friday, July 2, from 9 a.m-5 p.m., in the Eckelkamp Center for Campus Ministry, in Wuller Hall, 3711 West Pine Mall. 

Grief counseling resources also are available through ComPsych, SLU's Employee Assistance Program (EAP). ComPsych can connect SLU employees or their families with a counselor at no financial cost. To speak with someone, call 1-800-859-9319.
