Symposium Will Address Opioid Use Disorder and Substance Misuse Disorders

Saint Louis University will host the Create Opioid Preparedness Education (COPE) Symposium, which will address opioid use disorder and substance misuse disorders.
The free virtual event will be Thursday, June 17, and feature three experts in the field to discuss health disparities and contingency management treatment. The scheduled speakers are:
- Kanika Turner, M.D., clinical instructor in Family and Community Medicine at SLU;
- Devin Banks, Ph.D., assistant professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Missouri - St. Louis; and
- Jeremiah Weinstock, Ph.D. associate professor of Psychology at SLU.
Speakers will present from 10 a.m. to noon.
The afternoon session will feature posters and videos of community resources.
