Cross Cultural Center for Global Citizenship Seeking Mentors for Audre Lorde Scholars

10/18/2021

The Cross Cultural Center for Global Citizenship is seeking women faculty, staff, and graduate students who are interested in becoming mentors for Audre Lorde Scholars.

The Audre Lorde Scholars Program is an established program at Saint Louis University whose aim is to provide support for students who self-identify as women of color while facilitating networking, community, and social opportunities.

The program provides a communal and uplifting space for scholars to openly discuss through an intersectional lens the experiences and challenges that Women of Color face as it relates to race and gender.

The Audre Lorde Scholars Program also fosters opportunities for peer-to-peer and professional mentorship. Mentors will serve as a support for scholars throughout their tenure at SLU.

There will be an interest meeting for faculty, staff, and graduate students interested in serving as mentors of the program at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, via Zoom.

Anyone who cannot attend the meeting may fill out the mentor form and will be contacted shortly by Luella Loseille with further details.
