10/19/2021

University Writing Services is offering a free writing retreat open to graduate students during fall break looking to make progress on a writing project.

The retreat will take place from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, and Friday, Oct. 29. Participants can attend the retreat in-person at the Student Success Center in the Busch Student Center 331. A virtual Zoom option also is available.

This two-day retreat is intended t increase graduate students' writing accountability especially when balancing multiple responsibilities. Participants can drop in anytime.

The facilitator will discuss different timed writing activities and provide content aimed to increase productivity while cultivating strong, disciplined writing habits. Participants will learn new motivational strategies to combat procrastination especially during a university holiday.

Registration can be done prior to the retreat. Come and write in a quiet, structured environment alongside other scholars.
