Registration Now Open for Fall 2021 Geriatric Virtual Case Competition

Registration is now open for students from all health-related programs to participate in the annual Geriatric Case Competition.

In the competition, each student will collaborate with a team of four to five health profession students to create a plan of care for a complex older patient with multiple, chronic health challenges. Each team will create an innovative 20-minute case presentation and compete against other teams for the opportunity to win prizes.

Orientation for the competition will be Monday, Sept. 27,  from 5:30  p.m. to 7:30 p.m. At orientation, teams will meet for the first time and determine how and when to meet to create the plan.

Presentations will be on Monday, Oct. 25, live on Zoom.  The winning team will then compete live on Zoom on Monday, Nov. 1, with the winning team from the University of Minnesota Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program at the University of Minnesota.
