Interdisciplinary Center For Autism Services Hosting Summer Camp

04/22/2022

This summer camp will include research-based activities prepared by SLU speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and special education faculty.

Sessions will encompass STEM activities, sensory integration with fun activities, social skills, and guest speakers from departments on SLU's campus. The camp is geared towards children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and kiddos who are interested in STEM.

With many sensory activities available, children will also learn skills to develop their sensory regulation and develop social pragmatic language.

Campers must be independent with feeding and toileting, and parents/guardians must be available to attend an orientation session before camp dates. Camp enrollment is limited to 10 campers a session, with a cost of $300, with a 10% discount for SLU employees.
