Registration Open for Three-Minute Thesis Competition

The Office of Graduate Education invites Ph.D. and master's students to participate in Saint Louis University’s Annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT®).

The competition is an opportunity for students to develop their presentation and research communication skills and enhance their ability to effectively explain their research to a non-specialist audience.

Students will have three minutes and one PowerPoint slide to share their research and show the audience what it means and why it matters. The competition offers prizes in the doctoral and master's categories (first place - $750; second place - $500; third place - $250).

Currently enrolled Ph.D. and master's candidates who have successfully passed their prospectus proposal by the presentation date are eligible to participate. The competition will be held in person on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Please click on Three-Minute Thesis Competition to register. The deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 13, 2023. Anyone with questions should contact Felicia C. Echols, Academic Affairs Coordinator – Graduate Education at
