Registration Open for St. Louis Translational Pain Research Forum

The Institute of Translational Neuroscience at Saint Louis University, in collaboration with the Washington University Pain Center and the Center for Clinical Pharmacology, a joint venture between the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy and the Washington University Department of Anesthesiology will host the inaugural Saint Louis Translational Pain Research Forum on Friday, Sept. 22, and Saturday, Sept. 23.

To highlight the growing collaborative pain research community in St. Louis, the forum will bring together a group of scientists from the Midwest and NIH working across the pain translational research spectrum.

The keynote speakers is Walter Koroshetz, M.D., (NIH/NINDS). His "Advancing pain research through the HEAL Initiative" address will be at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22. 

The plenary speaker will be Vivianne Tawfik, M.D., Ph.D., (Stanford University). Her "Neuroimmune interactions in chronic pain: From clinical to clinically-informed basic science" will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23.
