There will be no undergraduate or graduate classes on Wednesday, Sept. 27, for the fall 2023 Wellness Day. Check out the complete schedule of Wellness Day events.
Full Schedule
Coffee and Conversation
- 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Morrissey Hall Patio
- The Medical Family Therapy and Psychology programs will provide coffee and mental health handouts for interested students.
Free STI Testing
- 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 3518 Laclede (SLU Student Health)
- Free STI testing at Student Health.
Creative Expression for Wellness at the Clock Tower
- 10 a.m. to noon at the Clock Tower
- Written, oral and visual communication activities for students oriented towards wellness and mental health.
Noontime Hoops
- Noon to 1 p.m. at Simon Recreation Center
- Drop by the Rec for some pickup basketball with Faculty and Staff.
Power Yoga
- 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at SLUruba at Simon Recreation Center, Rain Location: Mind
Body Room.
- Join the yoga instructor as she takes you through a quick series of movements and poses. Yoga mat are provided, but space is limited so register in advance.
Drop In and Chill In the Garden
- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in UCC Garden between Wuller Hall and Xavier
- Come relax and engage in wellness activities in the UCC garden space.
Defense and Personal Safety with DPS
- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Simon Recreation Center, LL Multipurpose Room 1
- Stop by and learn a few defense and personal safety tips and tricks from the SLU Department of Public Safety.
Pumpkin Painting DIY
- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Simon Rec Center, LL Juice Bar
- Stop by and paint your very own pumpkin while supplies last.
Bracelet Buddy Giveaway
- 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the North Lobby in Student Center
- The Billiken Parent and Family Association wants to help support Billikens during Wellness Day. Please stop by their table to receive a gift and a "hug" from a special friend.
SLUruba Yard Games
- 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at SLUruba at Simon Recreation Center
- Grab friends and come to SLUruba for drop-in style yard games.
Thriving in Advocacy: Mental Health and Wellbeing for Advocates
- 4 p.m. in the CGC Lounge
- Chelsea Veteri will speak on how to balance self-care with being an advocate for social change. She will incorporate art, healing practices, and joy in how to continue to care for yourself while working for a more just society.
Men's Soccer vs. Missouri State
- 7 p.m. at Hermann Stadium
- Spend an evening cheering the Billikens to victory over in-state foe, Missouri State. The first 250 students will receive a raffle ticket for a special, SLU-branded, halftime giveaway.
