Latino Medical Student Association Hosting 'Antojitos Hispanos'

09/07/2023

The Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) will be hosting "Antojitos Hispanos" to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The event will be Tuesday, Sept. 19, and will feature cultural food.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, a number of events are planned in collaboration with the Medical Spanish Distinction, the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA), and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time for us to come together and celebrate the rich and diverse cultural contributions of the Hispanic and Latino community. This month-long celebration provides an excellent opportunity to learn, connect, and appreciate the heritage and achievements of our Hispanic colleagues and friends.

The University community is invited to Antojitos Hispanos, Spanish for "little cravings," from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19,  outside the LRC lobby. The event will feature a unique showcase of some of cherished cultural food.

Organizers will be accepting payments via Venmo and cash. This event is designed to  to be a day filled with delicious food, cultural appreciation, and a sense of community.
